Greater Allegheny Tied for 1st in Chancellor's Cup

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Penn State Brandywine and Penn State Greater Allegheny are tied atop the fall 2021 PSUAC Chancellor's Cup standings after an eventful season. Four difference campuses were crowned champions across the PSUAC, including in golf, men's and women's soccer, and volleyball. 

Brandywine, who has been a perennial contender for the Chancellor's Cup, picked up their championship in men's soccer and sits atop the standings with 25.5 points. Greater Allegheny, with a championship in volleyball, is tied with their eastern counterparts after a fourth place finish in golf and a quarterfinal loss in men's soccer.

Close behind are Penn State York (23.5 points) and Penn State Mont Alto (23 points). York did not win a championship, but had a runner-up finish in golf and a semifinal berth in volleyball to rocket up the standings. Mont Alto picked up a championshipp in women's soccer and qualified for the semifinals in volleyball.

Penn State Hazleton won the golf championship and currently sits in ninth place.

The Chancellor's Cup awards points based upon team finish in PSUAC sponsored sports of golf, men's and women's soccer, volleyball, men's and women's basketball, baseball and softball. The year-end award is meant to recognize programs with broad-based success in their athletic departments.
