University Park, Pa. - As their 2014-15 seasons wrap-up, the Penn State Greater Allegheny baseball and softball team are honored by the Penn State University Athletic Conference for their efforts through their seasons.
Senior outfielder Gianmarco Concepcion (Bayamon, Puerto Rico/Mercyhurst North East) earned First-Team All-Conference after he competed in 41 games for the GA Lions. With 128 at bats, Gianmarco added 49 runs off 56 hits for an overall batting average of .438. He posted seven doubles, two triples, 39 runs batted in with 21 stolen bases. The outfielder posted 69 put-outs with one assist for an overall fielding percentage of .959.
With his efforts in the batters box alongside in the field, junior third baseman Clay Groff (Pittsburgh, Pa./Taylor Allderdice) obtained the First-Team All-Conference accolade for his junior season of action. Clay appeared in all 41 games for the Greater Allegheny Lions this season, posting 54 runs on 50 hits for an overall batting average of .385. The junior hit 15 doubles, six triples, one homerun along with 29 runs batted in and five stolen bases to boost the GA offense. On the defense, Groff had 41 assists, 26 put-outs and two double-plays for an overall fielding percentage of .838.
With an outstanding 8-1 record on the mound and an impressive .981 overall field percentage, senior right-handed pitcher/shortstop Aaron McGee (Harrison City, Pa./Penn-Trafford) secured a position among the First-Team All-Conference members for his major contributions for the GA baseball team. Aaron played in 40 games in his senior season, scoring 52 runs on 41 hits for an overall batting average of .387.He posted 32 RBIs, 14 stolen bases, nine doubles and one homerun. On the mound, McGee took four saves and an overall 8-1 record, posting a perfect 4-0 record through PSUAC play. With an ERA of 2.95, Aaron threw a total of 55 innings with 69 total strike-outs, 11.29 strike-outs per game. He finished with a .981 fielding percentage, assisting the Greater Allegheny defense wtih six double plays, 34 put-outs, five runners caught stealing and 71 assists.
Completing his first year at the helm of the Greater Allegheny Lions, head coach Mark Jackson received the PSUAC Coach of the Year as he led the student-athletes to a 32-9, 19-0 PSUAC record.

Junior right-handed pitcher Shelby Bendick (White Oak, Pa./McKeesport Area) earned Second-Team All-Conference for her efforts not only on the pitchers mound, but also in the field. Shelby posted eight runs off of 14 hits for the GA offense with six doubles, two homeruns, 15 RBIs and four stolen bases for an overall batting average of .452. The right-hander pitched seven complete games with 37 innings pitched sitting down 19 on strike-outs with a total of 3.59 strikeouts per game. She assisted the defense with 17 put-outs and eight assists for an overall fielding percentage of .962.
Sophomore infielder Jen Keefer (Elizabeth, Pa./Elizabeth Forward) accomplished Honorable Mention in her first season with the Greater Allegheny Lions. Playing in 13 games, the sophomore posted 11 runs off of 12 hits with one double, two stolen bases and three RBIs for an overall batting average of .343. Jen recorded 23 put-outs with 18 assists for an overall fielding percentage of .953.
