McKeesport, Pa. – With an impending winter storm set to roll through the area Friday night into Saturday, the Friday and Saturday Men’s and Women’s Basketball doubleheaders have been cancelled. With ice and snow scheduled to hit the Pittsburgh region, all events on campus have been cancelled for Friday and Saturday.
The Women’s basketball team has a little more time to rest up and get healthy as their next game is scheduled for Friday January 19th when they team goes on the road for a conference game against Penn State Lehigh Valley at 6 p.m. as the first half of a Men’s and Women’s Doubleheader.
The Men have a shorter wait to get back on the court as they take on Penn State New Kensington in a home conference game on Tuesday January 16th at 7:30 p.m. The Tuesday game is only a single game with no women’s contest before.
The doubleheaders for this weekend have been rescheduled for Friday February 9th vs. PSU-Wilkes-Barre and Saturday December 10th vs. PSU-Worthington Scranton. On Friday, the women will tip-off at 6 p.m. followed by the men at 8 p.m. and for Saturday the women will tip-off at 1 p.m. followed by the men at 3 p.m. The game against PSU-Beaver scheduled originally scheduled for February 9th will be rescheduled and played at a time TBA.
