Baseball Nabs Numerous PSUAC Accolades

The Penn State Greater Allegheny baseball program, fresh off the 2011 PSUAC championship, garnered numerous awards from the Penn State University Athletic Conference (PSUAC).

Greater Allegheny had a clean sweep among leagues top honors:

PSUAC Player of the Year: Zak Schmidt (Moon)

PSUAC Pitcher of the Year: Scott Dierdorf (Hopewell)

PSUAC Newcomer of the Year: Scott Dierdorf (Hopewell)

PSUAC Coach of the Year: Jim Chester

The PSUAC also recognized six players on their annual all-conference teams:

1st Team

Jon Lutz (West Mifflin)

Ted Fricke (Carrick)

Zak Schmidt (Moon)

Scott Dierdorf (Hopewell)

2nd Team

Matt Bradburn (Baldwin)

Adam Wehr (Northwestern)
