Baseball Falls to Point Park in Rain-Shortened Contest

Pittsburgh, Pa- Rain and wind took center stage earlier this afternoon, as the Greater Allegheny (15-14) baseball team fell to Point Park in a monsoon-shortened, six-inning game, by a final tally of 14-6.

Freshman outfielder Alente Johnson (Rochester, PA/Rochester) and junior second baseman Jason Paris (Houston, PA/Chartiers Houston) drilled three hits apiece, with Johnson and sophomore outfielder Zach Zeroski (Imperial, PA/West Allegheny) each driving in two runs.

Senior outfielder Mike Visloski (McDonald, PA/West Allegheny) and junior first baseman Sam Weightman (Harrison City, PA/Penn-Trafford)  recorded the other two RBI's for GA, as they accumulated 10 total hits. 

Freshman left-hander Zach Krivda (McKeesport, PA/McKeesport) had a strong outing on the mound, surrendering two hits, two runs- one earned- in his two innings to start the game.

Greater Allegheny returns to PSUAC action this Saturday, as they travel to Penn State Worthington Scranton.  First pitch of the conference double-header is set for 12 PM.
