Bats Erupt in Baseball's Sweep of Worthington Scranton

Scranton, Pa- Scoring a massive total of 33 runs between two games, the Greater Allegheny (17-14, 8-2 PSUAC) baseball team cruised to 16-0 and 17-0 victories over PSUAC foe, Penn State Worthington Scranton.

Junior first baseman Sam Weightman (Harrison City, PA/Penn-Trafford) led the the offensive charge in game one, blasting a three-run homer.  Freshman outfielder Jose Bonilla (Coto Laurel, PR/Academia Santa Maria) went 3-3 with three RBI's, while senior Mike Pryor (New Kensington, PA/CCAC-Boyce) added two RBI's of his own.  Sophomore right-hander Matt Klena (Glenshaw, PA/Shaler) coasted to the complete game win, surrendering just two hits and fanning 10.

In game two, sophomore Zach Zeroski (Imperial, PA/West Allegheny) collected three hits and drove in three runs, while Weightman added two more hits and RBI's.  Senior Jason Paris (Houston, PA/Chartiers Houston) added a double and an RBI.  Sophomore Aaron McGee (Harrison City, PA/Penn-Trafford) picked up the win, striking out six hitters over his four innings of work.

GA quickly returns to the diamond, as they travel to Penn State Hazleton tomorrow afteroon for a pair of PSUAC games.  First pitch of game one is set for 12 PM.
