Baseball Picks Up 12-3 Victory in Final USCAA Tune-Up

Pittsburgh, Pa- Junior first baseman Sam Weightman (Harrison City, PA/Penn-Trafford) blasted a two-run homer on the first pitch he saw in the sixth, as the Greater Allegheny (29-15) baseball team earned a 12-3 win over visiting CCAC-South.

Senior outfielder Mike Visloski (McDonald, PA/West Allegheny) led the offense with three hits and three RBI's, while junior third baseman Adam Wehr (Orefield, PA/Northwestern Lehigh) went 2-3 with four RBI's.  Senior second baseman Jason Paris (Houston, PA/Chartiers Houston) added two hits and scored a pair of runs, with seven GA pitchers combining to allow three runs on 10 hits while striking out nine batters.

Greater Allegheny opens next week's USCAA Small College World Series as the five seed and will take on fourth-seeded Selma (AL) Monday evening.  First pitch is set for 6:30 PM.
