GA Pitcher's Face Off Tonight in NYCBL Championship

McKeesport, Pa. - Penn State Greater Allegheny baseball pitchers Eric Schell (Linesville, Pa./Linesville) and Evan James (Harrison City, Pa./Penn-Trafford) will play each other tonight in game one of the NYCBL Championships.

James is finishing out the summer with the Oneonta Outlaws as Schell has been pitching for the Hornell Dodgers. These are the top two teams in the NYCBL regular season and plan to meet for a three game series, beginning tonight. The Outlaws will host Game 1 at Damaschke Field for a 7 p.m. start. Game 2 will be in Hornell at Maple City Park for a 7 p.m. start while if Game 3 is necessary, Oneonta will host on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

Number one seed Oneonta won over Olean on Saturday night to clinch their spot in the finals over the Hornell Dodgers, who swept their games over Wellsville. The Dodgers and the Outlaws did not meet in the regular season. Oneonta finished the regular season with a 25-15 mark while the Dodgers were 23-17.
