Pennington Recognized by PSUAC as Pitcher of the Week

University Park, Pa. - After going 2-0 on the week and pitching two complete games through 14 innings, Penn State Greater Allegheny senior right-handed pitcher Braedon Pennington (Punxsutawney, Pa./Mercyhurst) earned the Penn State University Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week for the week of March 31 - April 6, 2014.

In his first outing on the week, Pennington took the hill against Penn College in the second part of the double-header on Monday, March 31st. The senior saw 27 batters through seven innings, pitching 65 strikes on 98 pitches. He allowed just four hits and struck out seven. Greater Allegheny went on to win their second game of the day, 5-0.

In the first game over Penn State Mont Alto on Monday, April 6th, Pennington allowed just four hits and nine strike-outs through seven innings and 25 batters faced. The right-hander advances his overall record to 3-2 as Greater Allegheny advances in the standings to 15-7, 6-0 PSUAC.

Through his 14 innings, he surrendered just eight hits and zero runs, while striking out 16.
