Baseball Runs Streak To 14, Improves to 18-0 in PSUAC

The Penn State Greater Allegheny baseball program jumped out early and often in a conference sweep over Penn State Hazleton 26-1 and 13-2. The sweep runs their winning streak to 14 games, 1 shy of the school record. 

In Game 1, the offense pounded out 20 hits, 7 of them going for extra bases in route to a 26-1 victory. Leading the charge was Freshman Francisco Del Rio, who racked up a double and home run with 4 rbi's. Senior Adam Wehr blasted his Fourth round tripper of the year, and Freshman Mark Hollis added two doubles. Junior Eddie Emes was effective on the mound picking up his sixth win of the season. 

In Game 2, Junior Troy Ambros led the way with 2 hits including a triple and two rbi's. Junior Matt Klena picked up his fourth win of the season while striking out nine. 

Greater Allegheny improves to 28-9 overall and 18-0 in the PSUAC. They are back in action tomorrow wrapping up their regular season with a double header at Penn State Scranton, first pitch is 12:00 p.m.
