Vero Beach, Fla. - The Penn State Greater Allegheny baseball team suffered their second loss of the season against Miami-Hamilton, Wednesday, after nine-innings of action by a deficit of 11-5.

Greater Allegheny got on the board in the top of the first, as junior left-fielder Clay Groff (Pittsburgh, Pa./Taylor Allderdice) singled and senior shortstop Aaron McGee (Harrison City, Pa./Penn-Trafford) walked to get on base. Senior center-fielder Gianmarco Concepcion (Bayamon, Puerto Rico/Mercyhurst North East) was hit-by-pitch to fill the bases before he got out on a sophomore first baseman Joshua Arroyo (Toa Alta, Puerto Rico/Levittown Baptist Academy) reached first on fielder's choice, scoring Groff, GA up 1-0.

The bottom of the third saw action for Miami-Hamilton as a pair of doubles and a single to put the home team up 2-1. They managed to add one more run with a sacrafice fly to score their third run.

Junior second baseman John Nusser (Pittsburgh, Pa./Brashear) singled to advance to second off a Groff fly-out in the top of the fourth inning. McGee singled to bring home Nusser, GA cutting the deficit 3-2.

The bottom of the fifth inning saw a tally from Miami-Hamilton to extend their lead to 4-2.

McGee walked and stole second before advancing on Ambros' error by the second baseman, the hitters sitting on first and third. Concepcion doubled to bat in the two runners, evening the score at four.

Miami-Hamilton dropped three more runs in the bottom of the seventh to pull away from the blue-and-white. Both Groff and Ambros singled before Concepcion was hit by pitch to load the bases. Arroyo sacrifice flied-out to left-field to bring home Groff, 7-5 Miami-Hamilton.

MH earned four runs in the bottom of the eighth to put Greater Allegheny at a 11-5 disadvantage. Unfortunately, the top of the inning saw just four Lion batters, finishing the game with their second loss on the season.

Greater Allegheny (3-2) is set for a double-header against Norwich University, Thursday, on field two.
