GA Baseball Squanders Final Day at Mont Alto, 16-1

Mont Alto, Pa. - In the final day of Penn State University Athletic Conference (PSUAC) action at Penn State Mont Alto, the Penn State Greater Allegheny men's baseball team fell to the home team after seven innings, 16-1.

Five in the first, three in the second and third and then five again in the sixth resulted in the colossal slide.

The Lions saved the shutout loss with a run in the top of the sixth.

Junior second baseman Adam Jacko (North Versailles, Pa./East Allegheny) sacrifice flied out to left-field to score freshman catcher Brian Koglin (Indiana, Pa./Fox Chapel).

Sophomore right-handed pitcher Marcos Lopez (Caglas, Puerto Rico/Ramey) pitched four and 2/3 innings, facing 31 batters, as sophomore right-handed pitcher Max Whiteman (North Huntingdon, Pa./Norwin) came in for nine batters through an inning of action.

Sophomore center-fielder Dylan Ernst (McKeesport, Pa./McKeesport) went 2-of-4 while three other Lions connected through the game.

Greater Allegheny (6-13, 4-5 PSUAC) looks to travel to Penn State Beaver, Monday afternoon, for another Penn State University Athletic Conference day. First pitch is set for 2 p.m.
