The loses broke a theee game win stewal for the Lions and dropped them out of first place in the division.

The first game was a pitchers duel through the early portions of the game with both starters rolling through the first five innings of the game and it was scoreless heading to the sixth. It would be PSUGA who struck first as they have for a majority of the games so far in the 2019 season.

Pedro Escobar (Aguadilla, Puerto Rico/Carlos Beltran Academy) started the inning with a one out walk and was run for by Alex Fudge (Donalsonville, GA./Seminole County HS). Dylan Ernst (McKeesport, PA./McKeesport HS) added a single and PSUGA had runners at first and third with one out.

Brian Koglin (Fox Chapel, PA./Fox Chapel HS) would then get PSUGA on the board with his team leading 13th RBI of the season and PSUGA led 1-0. PSUGA had the upper hand late in the game and PSUGA was trying to notch their fourth straight conference win.

However, PSU-DuBois had a few tricks up their sleeve and pushed across six runs in the bottom of the sixth to take a 6-1 advantage into the final inning of game one. PSUGA would push one more run across on an RBI Groundout by Jordan Williams (McKeesport, PA./McKeesport HS) but PSUGA would drop game one 6-2.

Game two would see PSUGA jump out yo an early lead in the bottom of the first when Escobar lifted a sacrifice fly scoring Williams and giving PSUGA a 1-0 lead. Gowever, the potent Dubois offense would once again find a way to put runs up in bunches scoring fove in the second and getting ahead 5-1 after two.

PSUGA would push two more across in the bottom of the fourth on an RBI single by Zack Craven (McKeesport, PA./ McKeesport HS) and an error, but the Dubois bullpen shut them down in the final three innings and PSUGA fell 6-3.

Brett Yuhas ( Minhall, PA./ Steel Valley HS) had a big day going a combined 3-7 and jad now got a hit in 11 of his last 23 at bats. Nery Hinton led the pitching staff throwing five scoreless innings of relief in game two, but jt wasn't enough as PSUGA dropped both halves and fell to 3-2 in conference play.
