Monaca, Pa- Junior forward Nick Dizon (Rankin, PA) scored a career-high 38 points with his herculean effort accounting for nearly half of the Greater Allegheny total in a 95-77 loss to Penn State Beaver (7-2, 5-0 PSUAC).
Dizon shot 16-21 (76%) from the floor, in a game that saw both teams shoot at least 50%- GA went 30-60 (50%) and Beaver 36-65 (55.4%). The Greater Allegheny men were also on target from the foul line, hitting 12-15 (80%) charity shots. Senior center David Menzies (McKeesport, PA) also notched double-figures in scoring for GA, with 10 points off the bench.
The conference loss drops Greater Allegheny's record to 4-7 overall and 2-3 in the PSUAC. They will return to the court for one final game this calendar year, with a December 29 game at Malone. Tip is set for 1:00 PM.
