PSUGA Soccer Postponed vs. PSU-Lehigh Valley

McKeesport, Pa. – The Penn State Greater Allegheny Soccer Team (4-2-1, 2-1-1) had their game postponed on Sunday against PSU-Lehigh Valley due to sloppy field conditions. Rains that moved across the area for a majority of the week caused the field to be sloppy bringing on the postponement.

PSUGA Soccer last played on Thursday October 4th against WCCC and came away with a 9-0 win. The win earned goalkeeper Colin Bucsok the title of all-time winningest goalie in program history picking up his 13th career win. He wasn’t tested a lot of the day only needing to make two saves in the victory, but he has been one of the best goalies in net this season.

The postponement, keeps PSUGA in fourth place in the Penn State University Athletic Conference, however, they have only been able to play four conference matches. Today is the fourth time this season that a game for PSUGA has been postponed due to sloppy weather and the third time it has happened at home.

They play the first of their two makeup games on Thursday when they take on PSU-Mont Alto in conference play. That game will be a makeup from September 25th which was also postponed because of less than ideal field conditions.

Kick-off for Thursday’s game will be scheduled for 4 p.m. at the Francis McClure Intermediate School.
