High Profile Games Line 2019-2020 PSUGA Soccer Schedule

McKeesport, PA. – Preparations for the 2019-2020 Penn State Greater Allegheny Athletic season are in full swing with action getting kicked off in just 37 days. The PSUGA Soccer team released it’s 2019-2020 schedule on Thursday and features a season full of high profile match-ups around southwestern Pennsylvania.

Dale Odim is back at the helm of the PSUGA Men’s Soccer team for the third straight year looking to lead his team to the Penn State University Athletic Conference playoffs for the third straight year during his tenure and the fifth straight year in program history. In his first two seasons as head coach, the PSUGA Soccer team has gone 16-9-2 and Odim needs just three more wins to tie the program record for most wins by a head coach.

Standing in his team’s way are some high-profile matchups with some of the top Soccer programs across the NJCAA, NCAA Division III, and NAIA. They kick off their season with back-to-back home games against NAIA Powerhouse Point Park on September 4th and fellow USCAA member Johnson and Wales College (NC) on September 6th.

They open their PSUAC schedule at home against PSU-Hazleton on September 13th before heading on the road for a trip against PSU-Lehigh Valley and PSU-Scranton later that weekend. Their challenges continue when they face NCAA Division III Carlow University at Highmark stadium on September 28th. Next up will be rivalry week when they take on PSU-Beaver at Breisinger Field in Pleasant Hills, PA. on October 1st before heading on the road to face the defending PSUAC and United States Collegiate Athletic Association National Champions PSU-Brandywine on October 5th. They will wrap up the year with senior day on October 19th in their final home game against Penn State Wilkes Barre.

Entering 2019, Odim looks to have a solid defensive team anchored by senior Dario Marina (Pittsburgh, PA./Baldwin HS) and junior goalkeeper Colin Bucsok (Pleasant Hills, PA./Thomas Jefferson HS). Bucsok broke the career wins record as a goalkeeper a season ago while earning a PSUAC All-Conference Honorable Mention. Marina has been a four-year starter for PSUGA and has been a vital part of the PSUGA defense.
