Women's Basketball Falls To 1-1

McKeesport, PA- A poor shooting night made a ten point first half deficit too difficult to overcome, as the Penn State Greater Allegheny women fell to Geneva, 61-44. However, it is important to note that Geneva also attempted 12 more field goals than the PSUGA Lady Lions. Shooting percentages were 28% for PSUGA and 40.3% for Geneva.

Three starters in particular had excellent games for PSUGA.  Senior forward Rachel Halaszynski (Elizabeth Forward) followed up her milestone 1000th point scored game on Saturday with another strong showing tonight with 19 points. Freshmen guard Nakayla Layne (Taylor Allderdice) pitched in with 13 points. Finally, Freshmen PF Christina Floyd of Philadelphia, PA had a tremendous game on the glass in securing 19 rebounds.

The Lady Lions will play again this Friday, November 18th, as they take on visiting Bennett at 6:00 PM.
