Lady Lions Drop Clash With Penn State DuBois

McKeesport, Pa- Unfortunately for the Lady Lions tonight, they ran into a Penn State Dubois team that was as good as their record indicated. An 8 point differential in free throws gave DuBois an edge, as they held off GA 87-73.

The Greater Allegheny team shot just 34.6% from the field. Freshmen Guard   Jasmine Williams (East Allegheny) led Lady Lions with 18 points. Sophomore Guard Monica Poupakis (West Mifflin) also chipped in with 12 points.  Freshman Guard Nakayla Layne and Sophomore Forward Megan Brinkos both finished in double figures as well.

GA played hard and forced 25 turnovers, but was unable to completely slow down the Du Bois offense. With the loss, their record falls to 2-7 overall and 1-2 in the PSUAC.  Next up is a December 10th trip to Penn State Scranton, with a 1:00 PM start.
