Women's Basketball Dominates Penn State Scranton

Scranton, Pa-  Freshman Forward Christina Floyd (St. John Neumann) and Sophomore Guard Megan Brinkos turned in duplicate double-doubles, each scoring 18 points and grabbing 13 rebounds, as the Greater Allegheny Women's basketball team cruised to a 71-44 PSUAC victory at Penn State Worthington Scranton.

Freshmen Guards Taylor McCallister (Norwin) and Nakayla Layne (Taylor Allderdice) also scored in double-figures, with 12 and 10 points, respectively. As a team, the GA women shot 40% from the field, and an outstanding 50% from 3-point range.

The win improves the Greater Allegheny Women's record to 3-7 overall, and 2-2 in the PSUAC.  As with the men, Christmas break will be a time to rest up, as the women don't return to action until January 11th, when they host Westmoreland CC for a 6:00 PM tip.
