Uniontown, Pa- A huge halftime deficit, created from shooting just 6-37 from the field (16.2%), was too steep a mountain for the Greater Allegheny women to climb, as they were beaten 78-60 by Penn State Fayette (9-10. 8-2 PSUAC).

 Being down 40-17 at the break was a tough enough pill to swallow, but it came with the bitter aftertaste of knowing that a single Fayette player- Jill Guthrie - had nearly GA's total herself, with 12.  Despite outscoring Fayette 43-38 in the second half, Guthrie's 27 points spear-headed the  Fayette offense, leading them to the comfortable victory.

 Three GA women scored in double-figures, led by Freshman Guard Taylor McCallister's (Norwin) 15.  McCallister also grabbed 7 rebounds, to go along with 3 steals.  Freshman Guard Jasmine Williams (East Allegheny) scored 14, while Freshman Forward Christina Floyd (St. John Neumann) earned yet another double-double, with 12 points and an astounding 21 rebounds. 

 The PSUAC loss drops the GA record to 10-13 overall, and 8-5 in conference play.  The loss also snaps the women's 2 game winning streak.  Next up for GA is a February 11th tilt at Penn State Beaver, with tip coming at 1 PM.
