Women's Basketball Drops First Game of Turkey Drive Classic

Houghton, NY- The Greater Allegheny women's basketball team fell 81-65 at the hands of host, Houghton College, in the first of their two games in the Turkey Drive Classic.

An evenly matched game overall, the Highlanders earned their advantage by converting four more 3-pointers than the GA women (7-3), which nearly accounted for all of the final deficit.  Sophomore guard Taylor Fulton (West Mifflin, PA) had her best game of the young season, scoring 26 points and adding five assists, while sophomore forward Christina Floyd (Philadelphia, PA) notched her second double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds.

The loss dips Greater Allegheny's record to 1-2 overall with a quick return to action coming tomorrow morning against Geneva.  Their final game of the Turkey Drive Classic tips off at 10 AM.
