Dual Double-Doubles Lift Women's Basketball to Third Straight Victory

Williamsport, Pa- Sophomores, guard Taylor Fulton (West Mifflin, PA) and forward Christina Floyd (Philadelphia, PA), each recorded a double-double as the Greater Allegheny (9-5, 4-2 PSUAC) women's basketball team picked up their third straight win by defeating Penn College, 67-55.

  Floyd earned her second double-double in as many days- and her sixth overall- by scoring 15 points to go along with 14 rebounds.  Fulton led GA with 23 points and 13 assists, while also picking up seven rebounds and five steals.  Sophomore guard Nakayla Layne (Pittsburgh, PA) hit double-figures as well, with 14 points.  The Greater Allegheny defense forced 27 Penn College turnovers, converting those into 28 points.  They allowed Penn to shoot just 33% (20-60) from the field, and trailed for only a total of 19 seconds all afternoon.

  GA improved to 3-0 in the 2013 calendar year, and will take on Penn State Fayette Wednesday, January 16 for a 6 PM tip.
