A large crowd gathered in Wunderley Gymnasium as Greater Allegheny hosted Coaches vs Cancer. Beaver came into tonight's match ranking number six in the USCAA Division-II polls.

 

The majority of the game, GA was on the higher end of the tally. Although the first half came out to be a tie at 34, the GA Lions held their longest lead of the day of seven points. Floyd deposited a layup to extend that lead with three minutes to play.

 

Beaver went on a seven point run with fourteen minutes to play in the second half, which took over Greater Allegheny's thunder, shaking their lead. Beaver cashed forty points in the paint in the second half, assisting to the setback. Another aid to the Greater Allegheny loss was Beaver being able to complete 70.4% (19-27) of their free-throws attempted, leaving the GA Lions to fall to 12-11 overall and 7-6 in the PSUAC.

 

Floyd notched her tenth double-double of the season, as she went on to post 12 boards and 21 points. Fulton had another stand-out night, as she was able to net 22 points as well as dishing out eight assists.

 

Greater Allegheny women are again at home on Thursday evening for their last regular season conference match-up as Penn State DuBois comes to town. Game-time is set for 6 PM.
