Newport News, Va. - Moving up three places from last week, the Penn State Greater Allegheny women's basketball team ranked 9th with 291 votes in the USCAA Division-II Women's Basketball Coaches Poll for the week of January 31, 2014.

The 10-7, 7-2 PSUAC standing team has gained their upward movement as they blew past three conference competitors since the last poll. Greater Allegheny overpowered Penn State York 81-51 on Friday night, flexed over Penn College 82-56 and overwhelmed Penn State Fayette in a 86-75 triumph.

The GA women sit among eight other Penn State University Athletic Conference members in the poll with only two ahead of them.

The ladies look to cruise to their seventh consecutive victory on Friday night, as the ladies go up against Penn State Mont Alto in a 6 p.m. road tip-off.
