McKeesport, Pa. - The Penn State Greater Allegheny women's basketball team hosted Penn State Beaver in a Penn State University Athletic Conference match-up, where GA dropped to Beaver 69-58.

Freshman guard Tori Johnston (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin) earned the first points of the game just six seconds into the match, as she completed a layup. Freshman forward Kelly Moore slashed a free-throw just before senior power forward Christina Floyd (Philadelphia, Pa./Sts. Neumann-Goretti) made a layup and a free-throw. Freshman guard Tori Johnston (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin) dropped a set of three-pointers to set the score 15-12 Beaver lead with nine minutes until halftime.

Floyd added five more as Moore put up four. T. Johnston drained a free-throw before senior forward Kimberly Hall (McKeesport, Pa./McKeesport) and Moore tagged on layups to send the game into halftime 29-26, Beaver advantage.

Hall put up three as Moore earned a layup for GA, 33-31 Beaver four minutes into the second half. The Johnston sisters dropped points from the foul line as Floyd earned a layup. Moore slashed two free-throws just as M. Johnston posted six points. Floyd and Hall add two points apiece as M. Johnston drops a three outside the arc to make it a ten point ball game. M. Johnston and Floyd contributed four points off free-throws to wind the game down into two minutes. T. Johnston went on to notch the final score for Greater Allegheny, as the freshman drained a trey, finishing the PSUAC hame at a 69-58 standstill.

M. Johnston dropped 16 points with four rebounds, four assists and two steals while slashing all six free-throw attempts. Floyd marked 66.7% (4-of-6) from the free-throw line and 62.5% (5-of-8) from the floor as she posted 14 points and 20 rebounds with two steals and a block. Moore added eleven points, seven boards, five blocks, four assists and a steal while adding 75% (3-of-4) of her foul shots. T. Johnston put up ten points while Hall put down seven points with four rebounds, dropping 60% (3-of-5) of her shots taken from the floor.

As a team, Greater Allegheny dropped 64% (16-of-25) of their shots from the foul line. The Lions bucketed 19 points off second chance, eleven points off turnovers and 24 points in the paint.

Greater Allegheny (3-9, 1-3 PSUAC) look to host their final contest before winter break on Friday, December 12th. The Penn State University match-up is set for Greater Allegheny and Penn State Fayette to tip-off at 6 p.m from Wunderley Gymnasium.
