Davon Miller Enters His 1st Season as New Women's Basketball Coach

Coach Miller is coming off two exciting seasons at Vermont Technical College, winning the most games in program history, with a record of 27-24 overall and 19-14 in the YSCC conference. The Lady Knight's finished ranked #14 in the USCAA DII national polling and produced 2 USCAA player's of the week and 3 YSCC player's of the week. Coach Miller's Lady Knight's broke several USCAA, YSCC and team records as well as improving in nearly every statistical category. Three players averaged in double figures in several statistical categories and national top 20 rankings.

Miller previously served 2 seasons as the Associate Head Coach for Men's Basketball for the Wright State University-Lake Campus. He recruited eight very talented, high character student-athletes. In the 2017-18 season, the Lake Campus basketball team doubled their wins from the previous season and produced three national top ten players.

Miller was a standout baseball player in his high school and collegiate playing days, competing for one season for American River College and later playing for the Montreal Expos minor league farm team.

He proudly served 20 years in the United States Navy, with tours in Iraq, Operation Iraqi Freedom. Miller achieved the prestigious rank of Chief Petty Officer. He is entitled to wear the Joint Service Achievement Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (seven awards), Navy Good Conduct Medal (six awards), Global War on Terrorism and Iraqi Campaign, Medal, and various other unit, and service awards.

Coach Miller has three beautiful kids, twin daughters, Jordan and Justice and his son Michael.
