GA Wins 3rd Conference Game

Behind 22 points from Tomisha Pierce and 16 from Karissa Spade, Greater Allegheny took their conference record to 3-1 on Tuesday evening with a 69-59 win at Penn State Fayette. GA sits at 5-6 overall after a very challenging early season non-conference schedule.

GA led Fayette 18-10 after the first quarter and 27-20 at the half. 

Spade knocked it open in the 3rd quarter for GA with 14 of her 16 points scored going 6-8 from the floor.

GA went into the 4th quarter leading 47-33.

Pierce continued the strong individual performances in the 4th quarter dropping 13 of her 22 in the final period adding 5-6 from the floor.

The closest Fayette would make things was 63-59 with less than a minute to go in the game. 

Final score GA 69 - Fayette 59.

Greater Allegheny scored 19 points off of turnovers and saw 22 points coming from the bench.

Conference play continues Friday and Saturday with home games against Schuylkill and Hazelton.
