It took a team effort but Greater Allegheny managed to take down #4 Penn State Shenango in a thrilling game on Saturday at the Wunderley Gym.

The first quarter saw GA lead 12-11 behind a hot start from Isabella Vazquez. Vanessa Luna would score 11 of her 20 points in the second quarter but GA would trail 26-25 at the half. 

The 3rd quarter saw GA outpace their opponent 23-14 with Tomisha Pierce scoring 8 of her 20 in the quarter. Pierce would add 10 more in the 4th quarter to seal the deal and push GA into the next round of the PSUAC Playoffs.

Strong games from Brooke Vigil (13 points and 9 rebounds) and (12 and 5) from Vazquez helped Greater Allegheny balance their attack.

Azezah Fryer and Toni Donaldson led Shenango with 19 each.

Greater Allegheny takes on Penn State Fayette on Monday, February at Fayette. Time TBD.
