PSUGA Women's Soccer Drops to Thiel College

Greenville, Pa. - The Penn State Greater Allegheny women's soccer team fell, 11-0, to Thiel College in a non-conference match on Wednesday afternoon.

Despite outstanding defensive efforts from freshman Rachel Ramsey (North Versailles, Pa./East Allegheny), freshman Taylor Bayes (Grove City, Ohio/Grove City) and junior Victoria Benedetto (Brick, N.J./Brick Township), Thiel College swelled their lead to eight before half-time.

Freshman Kristina Dague (Pittsburgh, Pa./Woodland Hills) managed a shot on goal in the 20th minute, only to be saved.

In her goaltending debute, freshman Nana Kennedy-Kwofie (Kenya) faced 26 shots on goal, saving 15.

The Lions look onward as they will travel to Penn State Beaver for a conference match-up. Kick-off is set for 2 p.m. on October 2nd.
