Greater Allegheny Women's Soccer Falls to Alfred State, 7-0

White Oak, Pa. - The Penn State Greater Allegheny women's soccer team welcomed Alfred State to Francis McClure Middle School in White Oak, Sunday afternoon, where GA fell 7-0.

Alfred State swelled to six before halftime while freshman goaltender Rachael Maiden (Pittsburgh, Pa./Thomas Jefferson) faced 23 shots through the first 45 minutes. Maiden recorded nine saves through 15 shots on goal.

Freshman goalkeeper Jen Keefer (Elizabeth, Pa./Elizabeth-Forward) saw 23 shots through the last half in the net for Greater Allegheny. Keefer faced 13 on goal, only allowing one.

Sophomore midfielder Melissa Loftus (Oxford, Pa./Oxford) and freshman forward Antoinette Gordy-Smith (Philadelphia, Pa./Mastbaum AVTS) contributed two shots apiece through regulation.

Greater Allegheny looks onward to Tuesday, as the Lions travel to Chatham University for a non-conference match-up. Kick-off is set for 3 p.m.
