GA Women's Soccer Ends their 2014 Season with Mercyhurst North East

White Oak, Pa. - The Penn State Greater Allegheny women's soccer team fell 4-0 to Mercyhurst North East, Saturday morning, for the last match of the 2014-15 season.

Greater Allegheny held Mercyhurst to two goals each half, as the away team posted 29 shots through regulation.

Through the 90 minutes of play, sophomore goaltender Kristina Dague (Pittsburgh, Pa./Woodland Hills) faced 13 shots on goal to finish the game with nine saves.

Sophomore midfielder Melissa Loftus (Oxford, Pa./Oxford), freshman midfielder Albree Weisen (Pittsburgh, Pa./Carrick) and freshman midfielder Kelly Moore (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen) all notched shots through the contest, two being on target.

The Penn State Greater Allegheny women's soccer team finished their second season of collegiate play with an overall record of 3-6 and 2-0 in Penn State University Athletic Conference play. 

Loftus finished the season with 19 points, as she dropped eight goals and three assists over the nine games. Weisen earned ten points, as she posted two goals and six assists. Sophomore defender Rachel Ramsey (North Versailles Pa./East Allegheny) earned two goals and three assists through nine games. Freshman midfielder Kaylin Bob (Georgia/Forest Park) added three goals through the season as sophomore Kristina Dague (Pittsburgh, Pa./Woodland Hills) and freshman forward Antoinette Gordy-Smith (Philadelphia, Pa./Mastbaum AVTS) tallied two points apiece.

All of the goaltenders for Greater Allegheny notched wins for the team. Freshman Rachael Maiden (Pittsburgh, Pa./Thomas Jefferson) posted a shutout victory, completing the season with a 1-0 record. Both Dague and freshman Jen Keefer (Elizabeth, Pa./Elizabeth Forward) finished the season with a record of 1-3 in net.
