Greater Allegheny Women's Soccer Sweltered by Brandywine, 10-0

Aston, Pa. - The Penn State Greater Allegheny women's soccer team found the short-end of the stick in the Penn State University Athletic Conference battle against Penn State Brandywine, Wednesday afternoon, 10-0.

Brandywine's Brianna Banks marked five goals in the first half, four of them within the first twenty minutes of action.

Seven goals in the first half and three in the second decided the game. As a team, Brandywine outshot Greater Allegheny 29-2.

Freshman goalkeeper Alexa Byers (Spring Creek, Pa./Corry Area High) faced 21 shots on goal, stopping eleven.

Both senior midfielder Melissa Loftus (Oxford, Pa./Oxford) and freshman midfielder Erin Findlay (Greensburg, Pa./Central Catholic) both posted a shot through the contest.

Greater Allegheny (1-3, 0-3 PSUAC) take a break before traveling to Westmoreland County Community College, Thursday, for a 2 p.m. non-conference bout.
