Brandywine Women’s Soccer Held to One in Second-Half, 6-0

McKeesport, Pa. – With 11 saves from freshman goalkeeper Alexa Byers (Spring Creek, Pa./Corry Area), the Penn State Greater Allegheny women's soccer team dropped a 6-0 decision over Penn State University Athletic Conference #1 seed, Penn State Brandywine, Saturday afternoon.

Five goals in the first half set the tempo for the game, three coming off of the foot of PSUAC leading-scorer, Brianna Banks.

Byers faced 19 shots through the first contest, halting ten.

Just one goal in the second half by Brandywine elevated them to a total 6-0 over the home team.

The game saw a 28-4 shot differential in the conference match-up.

Byers stopped a total of 11 as she faced 17 shots on goal.

Freshman midfielder Erin Findlay (Greensburg, Pa./Central Catholic) posted two shots through the game.

Greater Allegheny (4-6, 2-6 PSUAC) looks forward to their final home contest of the season, as Penn State Beaver comes to Francis McClure, Wednesday afternoon. Senior day is set for 3 p.m.
