Lemont Furnace, PA - Fayette womens basketball gets upset win over PSU GA
Womens basketball had a big game against rival PSU Greater Allegheny over the weekend. They were quick to get GA in foul trouble early on to get themselves to the line where they were able shoot a collective 65%. This was without a doubt a big factor in their 61-55 win over their PSUAC West rival PSU GA.
The team was led by Taylor McCormick who had 17 points and a season high 10 rebounds, this is also her first double-double of the season. Takiah Cheathon who stepped up in Taylor's absence, continues her great play. Daelin Burnsworth was able to score 10 points off the bench which was a big contribution in a close game. Multiple players were also able to tally at least 1 steal. Overall it was a great defensive game agaisnt a team with multiple double figure scorers.
Fayette women's basketball will continue its season today on the road against Allegany College of Maryland at 6:00 P.M.
