Christian and Addison Nominated as Player of the Week for Efforts Through December 9th

McKeesport, Pa. - Two Penn State Greater Allegheny student-athletes were ranked by the Penn State University Athletic Conference and the United States Collegiate Athletic Association for their stand-out efforts in their sport for the week ending December 9th, 2014.

Freshman 197-pound men's wrestler Rodjrecko Christian (Pittsburgh, Pa./Westinghouse) earned both the PSUAC Student-Athlete of the Week for Wrestling as well as the Player of the Week award from the USCAA. This is the third time Christian has been shined upon for his performances on the mat.

Christian completed a perfect week of matches in the 285-pound weight class, with victories over Beaver and Defiance College.

Senior forward Petrie Addison (Fort Myers, Fla./Florida Christian) showed out in three Penn State University Athletic Conference match-ups, boosting his team to a 2-1 PSUAC week. Addison averaged a double-double through the three games, with 21.3 points and 16.7 rebounds per contest.  He shot an impressive 61% (25-41) from the field, while adding 13 assists and six steals.

Addison currently sits in third place in the PSUAC for points per game with 23.0 and first place for rebounds per game with 15.9. Petrie is also in first place in the USCAA for rebounds per game.
