In their first season officially a part of the Penn State University Athletic Conference, the Penn State Greater Allegheny women's soccer team earned themselves the number one overall coaches pick in the preseason polls.
With just six votes, GA alongside head coach Amanda Baldinger, welcomes back eager returners like junior center-midfielder Melissa Loftus (Oxford, Pa./Oxford), sophomore center-midfielder Albree Weisen (Pittsburgh, Pa./Carrick), sophomore goalkeeper Rachael Maiden (Pittsburgh, Pa./Thomas Jefferson), sophomore defender Kelly Moore (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley), junior defender Kristina Dague (Pittsburgh, Pa./Woodland Hills), sophomore goalkeeper Jen Keefer (Elizabeth, Pa./Elizabeth Forward), sophomore forward Antoinette Gordy-Smith (Philadelphia, Pa./Mastbaum AVTS), sophomore midfielder Kaylin Bob (Riverdale, Ga./Forest Park), junior midfielder Lauren Antosik (McKeesport, Pa./Oakland Catholic) and sophomore forward Jeherrah Barnes (Philadelphia, Pa./Mastbaum AVTS).
The newcomers are also anxious to get some playing time, such as freshman center-midfielder Emily Rojas (West Mifflin, Pa./West Mifflin), junior defender Jess Manfredi (Pittsburgh, Pa./Serra Catholic), sophomore defender Danijela Juric (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin), junior midfielder Aubrey Wilson-Tucker (North Versailles, Pa./East Allegheny), freshman midfielder Gaby Selmi (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Owen-Withee), freshman forward Puspa Nepal (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin) and freshman midfielder Amrita Chhetri (Pittsburgh, Pa./Brashear).

The men's soccer team sits in fourth place among ten total teams with a total of 49 coaches votes. Head coach Achilles Vassilicos welcomes back sophomore midfielder Marin Marina (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin), sophomore goalkeeper Alexander Wood (Rockville, Md./St. John's College High), junior midfielder Gerardo Diaz Perez (Mayaguez, Puerto Rico/Immaculate Conception Academy) and sophomore defender Giorgio Albino Castillo (Isabela, Puerto Rico/Dr. Heriberto Domenech).
Anxious to get some time are newcomers freshman midfielder Ricardo Dip (Guaynabo, Puerto Rico/Commonwealth) and sophomore midfielder Jake Thieret (Port Vue, Pa./South Allegheny).

Tracy Gibbs and the women's volleyball team was ranked fifth out of thirteen teams, grabbing 56 coaches votes. Top returning athletes are sophomore middle hitter Laura Vazquez (San Juan, Puerto Rico/Cupey Maria Montessori) and sophomore libero Tori Johnston (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin). Eager to get playing time is top newcomer and freshman setter Courtney Shaad.
