Greater Allegheny Basketball Sweeps Student-Athlete of the Week Accolades

University Park, Pa. - After highlighting both the women's and men's basketball teams over a huge weekend of Penn State University Athletic Conference match-ups, junior power forward Christina Floyd (Philadelphia, Pa./Saints Neumann-Goretti) and junior guard Petrie Addison (Fort Myers, Fla./Florida Christian) earned the PSAUC Student-Athlete of the Week nominations for the week of February 10, 2014.

Both women's and men's basketball hosted Penn State Brandywine and Penn State Schyulkill over the weekend in a series of vital match-up's.

Floyd averaged a double-double through three games, with 18.7 points and 16 rebounds per contest. Floyd opened up the weekend against Brandywine, as she posted 24 points and grabbed a season-high 24 rebounds, being the fourth time this season she accumulated at least 20 rebounds in a single game.

In the 80-33 win over Schyulkill, Floyd earned her 15th double-double on the season. The 6-1 junior deposited 13 points on 75% (6-for-8) from the floor alongside pulling down eleven boards. Floyd currently leads the PSUAC in rebounding, at 13.2 per game.

Addison led Greater Allegheny to a 1-1 week, averaging a double-double with 31.7 points and 17 boards per game. In the 92-87 heartbreaker against Penn State Brandywine, Addison added 33 points and grabbed 20 rebounds.

In the teams 74-67 victory over Schuylkill, the 6-6 guard swelled the tally 30 points along with grabbing 14 rebounds Addison currently leads the PSUAC in both scoring and rebounding, at 24.5 points and 12.2 rebounds per game.
