Girman and Laird Take Home PSUAC Player and Pitcher of the Week Honors

McKeesport, Pa- Sophomores, outfielder Oliver Girman (Monroeville, PA/Serra Catholic) and right-hander Dan Laird (Munhall, PA/Steel Valley) have been named this week's PSUAC Player and Pitcher of the Week, respectively.

Girman hit .387 on the week with 12 hits and four RBI's.  He also scored eight runs, had three doubles, and drilled a solo home run in Greater Allegheny's game against WVU Tech.

Laird didn't surrender a single run, while allowing just three hits over his 11.1 innings of work.  He struck out 16 total batters, including nine in a complete game shutout against Rochester. 

GA takes on SUNY-Canton this weekend in a four game series, with a double-header each on Saturday and Sunday.
