GA Pitcher Krivda Takes First PSUAC Pitcher of the Week Accolade
University Park, Pa. - Penn State Greater Allegheny men's baseball sophomore right-handed pitcher Zach Krivda (McKeesport, Pa./McKeesport) earned himself the Penn State University Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week award for the week of March 10, 2014.
University Park, Pa. - Penn State Greater Allegheny men's baseball sophomore right-handed pitcher Zach Krivda (McKeesport, Pa./McKeesport) earned himself the Penn State University Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week award for the week of March 10, 2014.
After closing the first week of competition with two wins and zero losses, Krivda boosted his team's efforts in Vero Beach, Florida as they went 7-1.
Krivda threw the first game of the regular season as GA opened up against Norwich University. Through five innings of determination, Krivda had eight strike-out's with just two hits. In the 4-1 Hagerstown CC win, Krivda struck out six over five innings of work, while surrendering one unearned run on just three hits. Krivda closed out his first week of action with an earned run average of .90.
