Del Rio Crowned PSUAC Player of the Week

State College, Pa. - After his hummer of a grand slam in the 17-6 shattering of Penn State Hazleton, junior catcher Francisco Del Rio (Vega Baja, Puerto Rico/Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy) earned the Penn State University Athletic Conference (PSUAC) Hitter of the Week award for the Penn State Greater Allegheny baseball team.

Greater Allegheny was leading 13-4 before the four run hit, giving the Lions a little more breathing room.

Through six games on the week, Del Rio connected on 12-of-24 from the plate for an overall batting average of .500. The catcher noted three doubles, one homerun and 11 runs batted in.
