Inclement Weather Predictions Cancel Baseball
The PSUGA Baseball game scheduled for Tuesday has been cancelled and a makeup date is TBD. With predictions of 1-3 inches of snow Tuesday into Wednesday, the field was deemed unplayable for today's contest.
McKeesport, Pa. – Due to the inclement weather predicted for later tonight, today’s Penn State Greater Allegheny Baseball game against Grove City has been cancelled. Forecasters as predicting between one and three inches of snow for the area throughout Tuesday afternoon and evening leading to the decision to cancel the game.
PSUGA was looking for a rebound effort after having lost their last six straight ball games, including getting swept in a doubleheader over the weekend against Fisher College and Mercyhurst. Now they will have to wait until Saturday when they take on Penn State Fayette in doubleheader action to get back on track.
The makeup date for Tuesday’s contest is still to be determined. PSUGA will start conference play against Penn State Fayette when they start a four-game series with a doubleheader at PSU-Fayette on Saturday at 2 p.m. & 4 p.m. The series will conclude on Sunday with a home doubleheader at Woodland Hills High School where they will once again play at 2 p.m. & 4 p.m.
