Team of the Week 29

Penn State Brandywine Softball

Penn State Brandywine swept Penn State Schuylkill by a combined score of 17-0 to guarantee no worse than a two-seed in the PSUAC postseason. The southeastern campus has not lost in April, winning eight straight games, including six over PSUAC opponents. This stretch also includes four consecutive shutout wins against conference foes.

Baseball Hitter of the Week 6

Cam Baughman, Penn State Brandywine

Cam Baughman batted .565 and slugged 1.000 to lead Penn State Brandywine to a 6-0 week, helping put his team comfortably in first place in the PSUAC East Division race. Baughman hit safely in all six games to extend his hitting streak to 15-straight. He also homered in back-to-back games against Central Penn and Penn State Scranton, while tallying five extra-base hits, 12 runs scored, 11 RBI and five stolen bases on the week.

Baseball Pitcher of the Week 6

Giovanni Scott, Penn State Greater Allegheny

Penn State Greater Allegheny's Giovanni Scott earned another Pitcher of the Week award, this time pitching two games and picking up a win and save on the week. Scott's complete game performance against Penn State Fayette saw him strike out 13 in a win. Scott totaled 7.2 innings pitched for hte week while striking out 15 and giving up just two earned runs. Scott scattered seven hits and commanded the strike zone, walking no batters and finishing with a .91 WHIP.

Softball Hitter of the Week 6

Destiny Hall, Penn State Mont Alto

Destiny Hall absolutely dominated at the plate for Penn State Mont Alto the past week, batting .550 (11-for-20) and smashing four home runs. Hall drove in 14 runs and scored 10 times, all while slugging 1.150. Hall managed 23 total bases and walked three times to help her team go 5-1 on the week.

Softball Pitcher of the Week 6

Crystal Cassario, Penn State Brandywine

Penn State Brandywine's Crystal Cassario threw her second-straight complete-game shutout, blanking Penn State Schuylkill as her team clinched a top two seed in the PSUAC playoffs. Cassario struck out seven batters in five innings, while allowing just two hits. She also helped herself at the plate, adding a single, a run scored and a walk.
