Men's Basketball Drops Tight One to WCCC

Youngwood, Pa-  The Penn State Greater Allegheny men's basketball team entered Monday night's action on a two-game winning streak, but dropped a close contest at the hands of Westmoreland CC, 67-63.

Junior Center Jon Schmid (Glenbard West) topped the GA offensive attack with 14 points, while Junior Guard Mike McCarthy (Sto Rox) added 13.  Freshmen Zach Smith (Ringgold) and Robert Taylor (Peabody) also chipped in with 12 points each.

Following the loss, Greater Allegheny drops to 2-3 overall, and remains 1-0 in PSUAC play. The men return to the court Friday, December 2 to take on visiting Penn State Brandywine in an 8:00 PM tip-off.
