Hazleton, Pa- Junior Guard Mike McCarthy (Sto Rox) did all he could for Greater Allegheny, socring 19 points, but still could not vault his team to a victory, as GA lost 78-68 at Penn State Hazleton. The loss marks the team's fourth straight in PSUAC play.
McCarthy would also grab 5 rebounds, with Sophomore Guard Nick Dizon (Woodland Hills) scoring 16 points and snatching 8 boards. Freshman Forward Patrick Malcolm (Archbishop Carroll) narrowly missed a double-double, netting 9 points and securing 10 rebounds.
Greater Allegheny drops to 5-13 overall, while falling to 3-9 in conference play. GA will look to end its losing streak this Tuesday, January 31, when it hosts PSUAC foe Penn State Fayette. Game time is 8 PM.
