Second Half Collapse Dooms Men's Basektball

Titusville, Pa- Up 35-24 at the break, the Greater Allegheny men's basketball team looked poised to finally get into the win column for the first time in almost a month (0-7).  However, a furious second half onslaught from opponent Pitt-Titusville saw the lead evaporate, as Titsuville scored 52 points in the second frame.  GA would eventually be dealt a debilitating 76-68 loss.

Junior Guard Mike McCarthy (Sto Rox), as he has done most of the season, led GA in scoring, with 21 points.  Sophomore Guard Nick Dizon (Woodland Hills) added 15, and fellow Sophomore Aaron Byrd (Dr. Henry A. Wise) had 14.  Guard Bryan Latney (Cesar Chavez) also hit double-figures, with 10 points.

With their 8th straight defeat, the GA men fall to 5-17 overall and remain 3-12 in the PSUAC.  The men will try and break the streak Thursday, February 8th, as they take on PSUAC foe, Penn State Fayette.  Game time is 8 PM.
