Late Put-Back Dashes Men's Basketball's Victory Hopes

Uniontown, Pa- A put-back with just 11 seconds remaining, followed by a Mike McCarthy missed 3-pointer,  dealt the Greater Allegheny men an 81-79 loss at Penn State Fayette (9-12. 8-5 PSUAC).

  As a team, GA shot 32-67 (47.7%) from the field, including 6-10 from behind the arc.  Sophomore Guard Nick Dizon (Woodland Hills) led the GA men with 24 points, while Junior Guard Mike McCarthy (Sto Rox) netted 18.  Sophomore Forward Aaron Byrd (Dr. Henry A. Wise) also hit double-figures, with 10.

 The tough loss elevates Greater Allegheny's losing streak to 9, as their record plummets to 5-18 overall and 3-13 in PSUAC.  The GA men will return to the court Saturday, February 11, for a 3 PM game at Penn State Beaver.
