Men's Basketball Pummels Pitt-Titusville 91-51 in Season Opener

McKeesport, Pa- The Greater Allegheny men's basketball team opened their season in a blaze of glory, by using a strong shooting performance- they shot 49% (35-71) from the floor- to defeat Pitt-Titusville, 91-51.  Every member of the GA squad would score on the night. 

  GA dominated early and often, with freshman guard Jeremy McMunn (Woodland Hills, PA) leading the way with 21 points off the bench.  Freshman guard Rakim Reedy (Summit Academy, PA) added 13 points and five rebounds, while junior forwards Nick Dizon (Woodland Hills, PA) and Aaron Byrd (Dr. Henry A. Wise, MD) both narrowly missed double-doubles, with 12 points and nine rebounds, and 10 points and eight rebounds, respectively.  Sophomore forward Patrick Malcolm (Archbishop Carroll, D.C.) hit double-digits in rebounds, with 11. 

  The win gets Greater Allegheny out to a 1-0 start overall, with their next game coming tomorrow evening at 7 PM, against visiting Penn Highlands.
