GA Lion Men's Basketball Falls to Fayette, 100-85

Lemont Furnace, Pa. - In the last contest before winter break, the Penn State Greater Allegheny men's basketball team traveled to Penn State Fayette for a Penn State University Athletic Conference match-up, GA on the short-end, 100-85.

Senior forward Petrie Addison (Fort Myers, Fla./Florida Christian) was the first to answer for Greater Allegheny, as he finished a layup and a three-pointer. Junior guard Chris Dixon (Homestead, Pa./Steel Valley) answered with a trey to bring the game to a 15-8 Fayette lead four minutes into the game.

Sophomore guard Denzel Boyer-London (Coatesville, Pa./Coatesville) put up six as freshman guard Tony Patterson-Brown (Philadelphia, Pa./Roxborough) contributed another four. Freshman guard Antonio Lucic-Jozak (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin) made a layup before freshman guard Khari Hicks (Pittsburgh, Pa./Imani Christian) added a jumper to wind the clock down to 5:45 before half with Fayette leading 38-24. Boyer-London and Hicks drained four points each as Addison downed a layup, sending the two teams into halftime, Fayette ahead 48-34.

Addison drew four to begin the second half as Dixon and Hicks added two each, 53-42 Fayette. Addison put down another three before Patterson-Brown hammered a three-pointer. Hicks added five points, three in free-throws, while Addison slashed two free-throws. Patterson-Brown tacked on three more as GA found themselves at a 92-60 defecit with less than eight minutes remaining in regulation.

Patterson-Brown alongside Addison put down free-throws befor Boyer-London dumped on five more. Addison and Boyer-London conjoined efforts for seven points to hit the five minute remaining mark. Lucic-Jozak polished off two free-throws and a jumper. Freshman guard Darius White-Moore (Pittsburgh, Pa./Brashear) assisted his team with three points while Boyer-London and Lucic-Jozak contributed points to the ending tally, Fayette in the driver's seat, 100-85.

Addison earned his eleventh double-double on the season, posting 21 points and 13 board while shooting 60% (6-of-10) from the free-throw line. Boyer-London put up 2- points with six assists, five boards and two steals, shooting 64.3% (9-of-14) from the floor. Hicks added 15 points with four assists, three steals, a block and an assist, going 100% (3-for-3) from the foul line. Patterson-Brown contributed 13 points and three rebounds off the bench for the Lions.

As a team, GA dropped 65.2% (15-of-23) from the foul line while shooting 45.2% (33-of-73) from the floor. The men managed 34 points in the paint, 17 points off turnovers and 13 points on second chance.

Greater Allegheny (6-8, 3-3 PSUAC) takes a short break for winter before they are back in action in the new year. The men are slated to tip-off with Carlow around 8 p.m.
