Wilkes-Barre, Pa. - In their first game of a Penn State University Athletic Conference weekend, the Penn State Greater Allegheny men's basketball team fell to Penn State Wilkes-Barre, Friday night, by a 94-68 setback.

Wilkes-Barre jumped out to a quick seven point lead to open up the contest before freshman forward Eddie Davis (Philadelphia, Pa./Roxborough) completed a pair of jumpers. Freshman guard Khari Hicks (Pittsburgh, Pa./Imani Christian) a trio of jumpers before freshman guard Jashaun Fontanez (Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown West) dropped a three-pointer, Wilkes-Barre still ahead, 22-13.

Davis and Hicks bucketed jumpers as Fontanez tacked on a free-throw point, Wilkes-Barre stretching their lead, 43-18. Fontanez drained a trey before senior forward Petrie Addison (Fort Myers, Fla./Florida Christian) made a jumper to wind the clock down within five before halftime. Hicks came up big with a jumper before a three-pointer to cut the deficit to 17. Freshman forward Tony Patterson-Brown (Philadelphia, Pa./Roxborough) drained both attempts at the foul line alongside two jumpers to send the match into break with Wilkes-Barre leading GA, 57-34.

Fontanez opened up the second-half of play with a three-pointer to keep contesting with the home team. Fontanez, Addison and Hicks peppered Wilkes-Barre with jumpers to wrap-up the first eleven minutes of the second-half, 74-57. Hicks dropped a three-pointer before Fontanez notched a point from the free-throw line. Hicks put down a jumper before Fontanez added another point from the foul line. Davis dropped the final tallies of the game with a jumper, Greater Allegheny on the short-end of the tally, 96-68.

Hicks dropped 26 points as he finished 70.6% (12-of-17) of his shots taken from the floor. Fontanez earned 18 points alongside three boards, two assists and two steals. Addison posted ten points with nine rebounds and two steals.

As a team, Greater Allegheny posted 44.6% (29-of-65) shots taken from the floor while managing to post twelve points off turnovers.

Greater Allegheny (7-14, 4-8 PSUAC) will go back on the road to wrap up the Penn State University Athletic Conference weekend at Penn State Worthington-Scranton. Tip-off is scheduled after the women's contest around 3 p.m.
