Matt Ambrose
Title: Volunteer Assistant Men's Soccer Coach

Matt Ambrose began coaching soccer in 2014.  Ambrose received his bachelor's degree  from Thiel College in 2000, where he played both soccer and basketball.  After graduating he began a career in finance, before moving on in 2010 to own his own small business.  Ambrose found his passion for coaching in 2014 when the need arose for volunteers to coach his kids’ in their local youth league.

Ambrose approaches coaching as an advocate for the player to find it within themselves to truly “Be Greater” and strive to be the best they want to be. “Soccer is a beautiful game, at it’s finest it is 11 players working together, making independent decisions, to score a goal.  Life away from sport is working together to achieve goals.  How are our players going to achieve theirs? l want our players to leave here understanding the focus, intensity, integrity, and perseverance it will require for them to achieve whatever success they seek.” Coach Ambrose stated.

Ambrose holds a United States Soccer Federation “D” license and United Soccer Coaches Goalkeeping Level 2 diploma, among other continuing coaching education certifications.

Matt, his wife, and their three children reside in the Penn Trafford School District.
